Challney High School for Girls is a World Class School

We are delighted to have received the World Class School Quality Mark. We are committed to developing the skills, dreams and aspirations of our students. Our students have outstanding outcomes and make exceptional progress. We believe education goes beyond exam results, so we create an environment and opportunities for our students to have experiences that are character building, challenging, nurturing and life affirming.

In achieving world class status, our students demonstrated a commitment to achievement, an understanding of the workplace, knowledge and understanding of the world around them, the power of community and their developing skills as learners and leaders.

The award focusses fully on the experiences, skills and attributes of the students in school. It is our students who are world class.

As a school we have always prioritised the development of each student, so that they can understand what it means to be a successful, productive, and proactive member of their community and wider society. It is great that this has been celebrated at a national level. We are and continue to be very proud of our world class young people.

What connects our students is the desire to be the best they can be. We cannot all be the best in the world, but we can strive to be the best versions of ourselves and undoubtedly ‘influential women of the future’.
